quiet please - exams are upon us
exams exams exams - that's been the talk of the campus lately, probably not just here, but everywhere else because now is the time where we will be tested on what we have learned over the past three months of our lives.
i was just reminiscing about the good ol' days of first year when i realized that my perspectives have changed a whole lot! i used to spend my days at the library - literally. go at 745ish to line up [they didnt open till 8am] and i didnt leave till they closed at 3am. so all this time, i would sit there and 'study'. and i was always worried about everything! and that is why i needed to spend every single minute 'studying' for my exams.
this year, things have been quite different. i haven't been staying at the library forever [well, not only is it open 24/7 this year, so there are no seats....] i have been thinking about how i spend my time. i dont really absorb the material when i sit there all day working at it. instead, i find that a couple hours here and there is much much better! :) and i guess there are lots of things we can be doing with our time - making care packages and distributing them, coffee breaks and talk times with people who need to release stress, prayer meetings and sharing time, meeting up with people to share a meal, just the little things.
two very very encouraging verses:
I can do all everything through him who gives me strength. ~Philippians 4:13
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~Jeremiah 29:11
