Food + DDR = strained puke [via the window with a screen on it....]

hahha - PDL small group was good tonight :) as you can tell, it involved food and dance dance!!! it was a little longer than usual, but that's because we decided to make dinner! last week, we discussed how food makes us relax more, and gets us to share more, so there was a couple eager beavers to get dinner going for this week. everyone from our group contributed with yummy food.
so i'm a bit behind in my daily readings, but i will soon catch up. the lesson from tonight: discipleship. what is that all about? becoming like Christ. so we went over three tools that God's uses to make us like Jesus, and the one that stuck out to me was this: God uses CIRCUMSTANCES to make me like Jesus. these circumstances are problems, trial, pressures, etc. that will shape us as we learn to depend on God and less on ourselves.
another interesting revelation from reading this book so far: God cares about the character that is developing inside us; not our careers or anything like that. i've come to realize that maybe God has a lot of future careers for me in His will -and i am free to pick whatever i want, and it will still be according to His will as long as my attitude is that of Chrst Jesus when i am at this work.
