happy new year!

so 3 weeks have passed, and all i have done to relax was...watch a lotta gilmore girls, movies, eat, sleep, and shop. i did manage to have coffee with the azian crew (well, most of us were here), and i saw some movies with other friends. so much has changed over the past 4 months, there's a lotta stuff being built in lasalle, and one of the local grocery store chains was baught out by sobeys. church was very different....seems like a lotta ppl left to go elsewhere. why? i have no clue, maybe it's cuz we dont have a pastor yet, maybe cuz ppl are not getting what they need from our church. we are still prayerfully asking God to provide for us, and i kno that He has someone that's right for us, but just not here yet. He's blessed us with willing ppl to serve, to take the time to be guest speaker for us, and deacons who prepare for the sermon.we also started up a praise team for english worship. unfortunately, i did not get a chance to hear them cuz they were on christmas break while i was at home. it's made up of university students, who drum, sing, and play the piano. i really hope they can encourage some of the younger ones to take an active role in serving. i went to toronto over the break, got to have dinner with my brother and extended family. i was hoping to see some ppl, but i didnt get a chance to :( other stuff i did when i got home....got a hair cut (still havent decided if i like it or not..) got really spoiled by my parents (new coat, and lots of clothes), went to see a movie with my parents for the first time! (lotr-the two towers), got to catch up with old cadet friends (who knew that some of them are at conestoga! and most of them are perusing some sort of aviation training!). i was gonna go flying with my buddy, but.....i hate crappy weather!!! it's been snowing like crazy here (yes...shovelled snow 2 times already today) and the sky has been overcast or too cloudy or too windy. poor visibility = upset pilots! [sigh] hopefully in four months....i'll find myself bak at the club, and employed :)
