safe!!

spent 8 hours in the car...driving home from toronto....so a driving we went, and then traffic jam....and so we were stuck for about 2 hours...and by the time we got to the end...the cop was telling us to turn around!! aiya!! they closed the 401 cuz there was a 'severe' accident. that's all we know about. todays events were so....fustrating at first. mom and dad had a dinner to go to at 7. so we thought that we would be home around 5, since we left TO a little bit before 1pm. and then there was that big turn around at cambridge, so we went into cambride and just drove around. it's all farm land...there was no restaurants or fast food places to stop at. then luckily, we saw a cyclist, so dad got outta the car and waved to him, and he stopped and tried to help us out. he gave us directions to go to paris, and through there, we can get to woodstock, then bak to the 401. then, we see a timmys!! (woo hoo!) so we go in and get coffee, and my dad goes and asks some guy for directions...and he gave us a little short cut..shorter than what the first guy told us. and he drew a little map for us too!! so then we made it..bak to windsor...mom and dad were a little late for their dinner, but we went there, then i drove the car bak home and yes! thank God we are all safe! and my dad was a little mad at first...saying that if we didnt take so long eating lunch, that we woulda been past cambridge earlier, and we wouldnt have been stuck in the traffic jam. but it was only like..20 min, and i seriously think that the 'chow mein' saved us. if grandma didnt insist on the chow mein....it might have been our car that was in shambles on the 401. it was crazy bad..they closed both sides on the 401...how often does that happen? ~aiy~ we are trying to see what happened...but nothing on the news tonite...maybe toronto news has it...please tell me if there's any info on it. i was praying for the ppl in the accident when we found out that the delay was cuz of an accident. it must've been really bad........but really.....looking bak, it's like God was watching over us the whole way......the lunch, the cyclist, the other guy, so that we would arrive home safely! and dad and mom still got to the dinner :)
