happy happy day to canada!! :)

happy that i live in canada...a free country to do what i want, when i want (well..legally speaking...) just last week, rev. yango and his fam came to visit our church, and mrs. kathy yango was the speaker for out english service. they came here a couple years ago, and ryan, their oldest son was just starting high school. i remember seeing him around....a little gr. 9, just like a little kid. and then now, he's grown up a lot! haha!! so the family is in the philipines; they started a pre school for the muslem children. and i have never thought of muslem ppl as bad or anything...but over there in the philipines, there is a big seperation between the christians and the muslems. and there have been christians who own business and such that wont work with or even hire muslem ppl! and some of us were puzzled by this. we were thinking..as christians, arent we called to love everyone? and how can those ppl call themselves christians when they treat the muslems so bad? and mrs yango just went on saying that the christian ppl fear for the safty of their own families, and most crimes are commited by muslems, so they dont want to have anything to do with them. most of the chinese ppl there dont like the muslem community either. cuz some kidnappings have occured, and so now, the different groups are segregated. mr and mrs yango have been working with the muslems for a while now. but they still struggle with things like this...and it's so hard to try and make peace among the ppl. as christians, we worship God; our Father. and the muslems worship 'ali'. and you kno what?? this was news to me..but 'ali' = God; just in their language. but there are still tons of issues among these ppl. i'm so glad that there are not extreme issues like that here. at least generally in canada, there are not different races that seriously 'hate' each other, and either live their lives in fear of them, or trying to hurt them. praise God for giving us such a wonderful country to live in, where we are free to worship Him..or not.
